The Shack on the Pond

Quidditch. Yep those are brooms they’re carrying. Saturday mornings in Chinatown.

With all the rain, thunder and lightning in New York the last couple of nights I thought this photograph from Donna Ferrato was perfect. As featured in TriBeCa Citizen my favorite local blog.

Freedom again. When I left California then only really tough moment for me was selling my car. I walked away (2 days from the move) and started crying. Oddly as much as I’ve loved being a pedestrian for the first time in my life, driving with the top down through the Catskills this weekend with the new car reminded me that there are some ideas of freedom bred into me by 20 years in California that I can’t shrug off.

We went for a Sunday morning drive up to the park in our tiny little fiat with the top down. It felt a little like riding through New York in a horse and buggy. My favorite moment in New York (driving through the Grand Central Station by pass is even more exciting when you get to look up at the building as you shoot by.
