A couple of weeks back there was a great nytimes article about dognition a site which uses crowd sourced data from dog owners to gather insight into the tremendous variety of breeds. The site is fun and well designed. It’s interesting how much more engaging it is compared to similar kinds of data sites about humans.
The blog features a nice intro by the founder that explains the foundation of crowd sourcing data.
